The Section 6 (S6) duty was introduced under the Environment (Wales) Act 2016 to improve biodiversity and the resilience of ecosystems in Wales, essential to our well-being. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is committed to excellence with a vision to become a world class organisation. We recognise the increasing importance of the need to protect the environment and conserve the habitats and resources within the area we serve. As a Service, we have made a commitment to be an environmentally responsible Service, and as such achieved the Level 5 Green Dragon EMS Standard in 2014.
