Welsh Language Standards

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service work to Welsh Language Standards imposed by the Welsh Language Commissioner to ensure that the Welsh Language is treated no less favourably than the English Language and to promote and facilitate the use of the Welsh language.

Under the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011, in Wales, the Welsh language has equal legal status with the English language and must not be treated less favourably. Since 30 September 2016, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has committed to the Welsh Language Standards imposed by the Welsh Language Commissioner.
