Congratulations to our team who competed in the National Breathing Apparatus Challenge 2024.
The event promoted best practice and firefighter safety in four categories which included Incident Command, Fire Ground Procedures, Entry Control and BA wearing.
Crew members from Port Talbot, Narberth, Neath, Morriston and Llanelli Fire Stations as well as the Operational Equipment and Assurance Department took part in the event against Fire and Rescue Services from across the UK. This year’s contest was held at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh.
Each team was faced with a scenario of a property fire and given a total of just 30 minutes to extinguish the fire as well as rescue any casualties.
Not only did Watch Manager Norcross win best overall in the incident command category but the whole team finished gold standard overall as well!
Well done to those involved – a massive achievement!
