Watch Manager Bryan Davies Celebrates 42 Years of Service

The crew members at Talgarth Fire Station recently gathered to celebrate the incredible achievement of their Watch Manager, Bryan Davies. 

Celebrating 42 years of service, Bryan marks an extraordinary milestone of dedication and commitment to the community of Talgarth.  Bryan has served his local community for over four decades, having responded to countless emergencies as well as adapted to the ever-evolving demands and advancements of the role.

Presenting Bryan with his long-service certificate was Head of People and Organisational Development, Teri-Ann Parry, who said:

“During my time as Northern Division (Powys and Ceredigion) Commander, I had the great pleasure of working with Bryan, a highly experienced Watch Manager who serves his community with unwavering commitment. Bryan is one of our longer serving Watch Managers who continues to put endless energy into the role. Congratulations Bryan on achieving this incredible length of Service.”

On-Call Firefighters are an essential part of our Service and your community.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is currently recruiting On-Call Firefighters at all our On-Call Fire Stations.

The role of an On-Call Firefighter provides many opportunities for personal and professional development, through training, teamwork, leadership and problem solving.  On-Call Firefighters receive payment for their services, including retainer fees and call-out payments, supplementing their income from other employment.
