Community Safety Team Members Awarded The High Sheriff of Dyfed Award

On Saturday, 22nd March, Michelle Williams and Bryony Phillips from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s (MAWWFRS) Community Safety team attended The High Sheriff of Dyfed Ceremony 2025 in Mansion House, Pantyrathro.

On Saturday, 22nd March, Michelle Williams and Bryony Phillips from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s (MAWWFRS) Community Safety team attended The High Sheriff of Dyfed Ceremony 2025 in Mansion House, Pantyrathro.

Michelle and Bryony were both recognised for their ‘Exceptional Service to the Community’ and awarded The High Sherriff of Dyfed Award 2025 following their actions in aiding a member of the public who was experiencing mental health and wellbeing challenges during a home safety visit.

Bethan Gill, Central Community Lead in MAWWFRS said:

“Michelle and Bryony’ empathy and compassion opened a conversation with the individual who was struggling in silence, they were able to signpost to agencies who could provide effective support immediately. This award recognises the critical work carried out by our Community Safety Practitioners. Their tireless efforts to ensure the well-being and safety of our community are invaluable.”



The entire MAWWFRS team extends their heartfelt congratulations to Michelle and Bryony on their well-deserved recognition for their notable contributions to the community.
