The Eisteddfod yr Urdd is Europe’s largest Youth Festival. Celebrating the Welsh-language filled with music, culture and the wealth of young talent in Wales. Each year approximately 15,000 children and young people attend, along with their families.

Our Community Safety Team had a stand right in the centre of the festival, the perfect location to offer members of the public free safety advice and information as well as the opportunity to sign up for a free Safe & Well check.

There was plenty of activities for children to take part in, including Sbarc colouring sheets, a chance to try on a firefighter’s kit, as well as an opportunity to take part in our ‘Electrical Dangers’ competition to try and win a Lego Dragon!

Sbarc, the lovable Service mascot also made appearances throughout the week, providing a fantastic photo opportunity!

Despite the unpredictable Welsh weather, it was a fantastic week with a buzzing atmosphere from start to finish!

We would like to say a big thank you to all that got involved with the festival, especially those who stopped by the MAWWFRS stand, and we look forward to Eisteddfod yr Urdd 2026 in Ynys Môn, Anglesey.
