Firefighter Ed Smith, of Milford Haven Fire Station, has recently marked 10 years of service at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS).
Firefighter Smith started his career in MAWWFRS as an On-Call Firefighter, before becoming a Wholetime Firefighter 14 months ago.
During Firefighter Smith’s long-service presentation at Milford Haven Fire Station, Station Manager Stuart MacDonald presented him with a 10 Years of Service Certificate for his continued commitment and dedication to public safety and protecting his community.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is currently recruiting On-Call Firefighters at all our On-Call Fire Stations.
The role of an On-Call Firefighter provides many opportunities for personal and professional development, through training, teamwork, leadership and problem solving. On-Call Firefighters receive payment for their services, including retainer fees and call-out payments, supplementing their income from other employment.
