Incident: 'Paw-some' Dog Rescue at Devil's Bridge

On Friday, October 24th, Firefighters from Aberystwyth Fire Station responded to an incident at Devil’s Bridge in Aberystwyth.

At 1.33pm on Friday, October 24th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Aberystwyth Fire Station was called to an incident at Devil’s Bridge in Aberystwyth.

The crew responded after a dog had fallen over a ledge and approximately 10metres down a steep bank.  Crew members utilised line rescue equipment to reach and retrieve the dog, that was uninjured.  Thanks to the swift and professional actions of the crew, the dog was successfully recovered without injury and reunited with its owner.  The crew left the scene at 2.50pm.

Pictured are members of the Aberystwyth crew at the scene alongside the rescued dog, marking a positive outcome to the incident.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service commends the crew for their effective response and reminds the public to exercise caution when walking pets near steep or unstable terrain.
