Incident: Road Traffic Collision at Cemaes

On Monday, January 12th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Machynlleth and Newtown Fire Stations were called to an incident along the A489 near Cemaes.

At 9.33am on Monday, January 12th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Machynlleth and Newtown Fire Stations were called to an incident along the A489 near Cemaes.

Crews responded to a road traffic collision involving two heavy goods vehicles and one private motor vehicle.  Three casualties were treated at the scene and conveyed to hospital by road ambulance.  Crews were involved in making the vehicles and the scene safe.

This incident required a multi-agency response, with Dyfed-Powys Police, the Ambulance Service and the Local Authority’s Highways Department also in attendance.

Crews left the scene at 1.02pm.
