This week marks International Control Room Week and we’re paying tribute to our amazing Joint Fire Control Centre Operators!
They are the people who answer the call, literally. When someone calls 999 in their emergency, our Fire Control Operators pick up the phone and offer the voice of reassurance during the darkest moments.
They often give lifesaving advice, manage multiple incidents at the same time, support our Firefighters and ensure that the right resources are at the right place at the right time. Their contribution to keeping our communities safe cannot be overstated. THANK YOU!
