Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) attended Swansea Pride on Saturday, 18th May and what a fantastic day of colourful celebrations it was.
It was wonderful to see so many people get involved, come together, celebrate diversity, and show support to the LGBTQ+ community.
The day started with the fantastic Pride parade which was filled with colour, fun and laughter. This was followed by lots of entertainment from talented musicians, drag queens and much more.
It was an honour for MAWWFRS to be a part of the event. Our Community Safety Team provided lots of safety information throughout the day next to the colourful Pride wrapped fire engine and Sbarc, the Service mascot made an appearance too!
As a Service, we’re committed to identifying, understanding and eliminating all barriers that prevent access to services, information and employment. We actively support underrepresented members of our communities to overcome disadvantage, by promoting equality of opportunity and promoting diversity.
We’re already looking forward to celebrating at Swansea Pride 2025.
