On Saturday, July 13th 2024, Port Talbot Fire Station held their annual Open Day.
Port Talbots Open Day was a huge success. Visitors had the opportunity to look around fire engines, watch demonstrations from the crew as well as meet members of the Coastguard who were in attendance. There was plenty of fun activities to keep children entertained, with ‘soak the firefighter’ being a firm favourite.
The Service mascot Sbarc also made an appearance for photos, after being rescued from a burning building in a search and rescue demonstration with the crew.

Fire Station Open Days are the perfect opportunity for members of the public to visit their local fire station, meet the crew and learn more about the work they do. It’s also a fun family day out and a chance to raise awareness of the important job done by the Fire Service.
