In early December, Firefighters from Abercrave and Glynneath Fire Stations took part in a cross-division training exercise in Abercrave.

Taking part in the Abercrave Welfare Hall, the exercise provided an opportunity to implement and practice the standard procedures for Breathing Apparatus (BA) sets, command support, incident decision logs and analytical risk assessments, ensuring alignment with Service standards and reinforcing safe operational decision-making.

The training brought together personnel and cluster management teams from both the Northern (Powys and Ceredigion) and Southern (Swansea and Neath Port Talbot) Divisions, reflecting the Service’s commitment to collaborative learning and consistent operational excellence across its Service area.
