Watch Manager Charlie Taylor Retires After 24 Years of Service

On Tuesday, August 27th, the crew at Aberystwyth Fire Station gathered to bid farewell to Watch Manager Charlie Taylor, as he retires following 24 years of dedicated service.

On Tuesday, August 27th, the crew at Aberystwyth Fire Station gathered to bid farewell to Watch Manager Charlie Taylor, as he retires following 24 years of dedicated service.

Charlie has spent his career in various locations and departments within Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) but spent most of his career protecting the communities of Ceredigion.

Charlie has also formed part of the UK’s International Search and Rescue Team, helping many families abroad following devastating natural disasters.

Charlie was joined by his family, friends and colleagues at Aberystwyth Fire Station to celebrate his retirement, and watch him being presented with a Long Service Certificate by Area Manager Peter Greenslade.
