Thank you to everyone who donates to the Fire Fighters Charity recycling banks that can be found outside many of our Fire Stations.
Since April of this year, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has been responsible for raising £20,962 with a total sum weight of 95,281kg.
Of this figure, the most popular collection points within the Service during this time have been at Glynneath and Neath Fire Stations. Together these recycling banks have collected £2,800 with a total sum weight of 20,640kg. Pretty impressive!
This money goes to support all serving and retired members of all UK Fire Services’ and their families. The charity offers a lifetime of support to our firefighting community. From help with mental and physical health, to offering social and well-being support.

Having a declutter of your wardrobe not only helps the charity but can help your own mental wellbeing and helps to reduce the fire risk in your home.
Visit their website to find your nearest recycling location and more information on what you can donate.
