In October, 25 members of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended the Women in the Fire Service Cymru event in Cardiff.
Personnel took part in a wide range of workshops, including Yoga, Menopause Awareness, Water Rescue activities, and USAR, among many others.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to come together with colleagues from other fire and rescue services, building meaningful connections, sharing experiences, and learning new skills.
Firefighter Hannah Lodder-Rodda, commented:
"I had so much fun, learned loads, and got a real feel for the different areas of the Fire and Rescue Service. It was also a great opportunity to meet and chat with people from North and South Wales services, as well as many others who I don’t usually get to work alongside. It was lovely to see everyone outside of our usual roles and have the opportunity to build connections while getting stuck into some hands-on activities."
A truly inspiring weekend – thank you to South Wales Fire and Rescue Service for hosting and supporting such a memorable event.
