On Thursday, September 3rd, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s (MAWWFRS) Fire Investigation Officers attended a full day of certified Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Delivered by external training partners Firewise UK Learning Academy and Phoenix Fire Investigation Service, the training focused on increasingly important areas of modern fire investigation, such as fires involving electricity, smart homes, solar as well as white goods and electrical items. As technology within homes continues to evolve, maintaining up-to-date knowledge is essential to ensuring accurate fire scene examination and investigation.
Regular CPD training plays a vital role in enhancing professional competence, keeping investigators informed of emerging technologies, industry developments and current best practice. This ongoing learning helps ensure that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service continues to provide a high-quality and effective fire investigation function.
MAWWFRS extends its sincere thanks Firewise UK Learning Academy and Phoenix Fire Investigation Service Provider for their continued support and expertise in delivering these valuable learning opportunities.
We would also like to recognise the commitment and professionalism shown by our Fire Investigation Officers, who undertake these development opportunities alongside their day-to-day responsibilities within the Service. Their dedication to continually developing their knowledge and skills is greatly appreciated and contributes significantly to the work we do across Mid and West Wales.
