At 6.49pm on Wednesday, January 29th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Port Talbot Fire Station was called to an incident on Park Street in Port Talbot.
Crews responded after a dog had run down a narrow gap between two brick-built outbuildings after being scared by a neighbour’s dog. The dog became tangled and stuck in a cable reel and was unable to turn around and get out. Crew members utilised a ceiling hook to pull the entire cable reel out to free the dog and reunite him with his owners. The crew left the scene at 7.04pm.
