This July, Firefighters from Newtown Fire Station are gearing up for an extraordinary challenge.

This July, Firefighters from Newtown Fire Station are gearing up for an extraordinary challenge - an ambitious charity motorcycle ride to all 58 Fire Stations across Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS), all within just 48 hours.

Covering an incredible 750 miles in a single weekend, a dedicated group of Firefighters will push themselves through long hours on the road and unpredictable weather - all to raise vital funds for the Fire Fighters Charity.

58 STATIONS. 48 HOURS. 750 MILES.

The challenge will see the riders visit every Fire Station across the Service area, showcasing not only determination and endurance, but also the strong sense of solidarity that runs throughout the MAWWFRS community.

Supporting The Fire Fighters Charity

All funds raised from the ride will go directly to the Fire Fighters Charity, which provides lifelong care and specialist support to serving and retired Firefighters, as well as their families.

From physical rehabilitation and mental health support to financial and wellbeing assistance, the charity plays a crucial role in helping members of the UK Fire Services community recover from injury, trauma, and illness - both on and off the job.

How You Can Help

The crew from Newtown are calling on the community, friends, family, and supporters across mid and west Wales to get behind them. Every donation, no matter the size, will help the charity continue its vital work.

If you’d like to support the challenge, you can donate via their JustGiving page and help cheer the riders on as they take on this ambitious charity challenge.

The ride has been carefully planned, with riders adhering to safe riding guidelines and taking regular breaks throughout the challenge.

We wish them safe travels, strong legs, and plenty of stamina as they ride for an incredible cause!
