At 3.14pm on Tuesday, January 14th, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Llanidloes and Aberystwyth crews were called to an incident in Ystumtuen in Ceredigion.
Crews responded to a fire within a conservatory measuring approximately 3 metres by 3 metres. The property’s occupier had extinguished the fire using a garden hosepipe before the arrival of crews. Crews investigated for further fire spread, dampened down remaining hotspots and isolated the property’s electricity supply.
The conservatory was completely destroyed by fire. All the property’s occupiers were fit and well. It is believed this was an electrical fire. Crews left the scene at 4.42pm.
